Pieropan is one of the great names in Soave. The straight Soave is typically one of the great values in Italy, while the higher-end bottlings have proven to age quite beautifully, the Calvarino in particular. The cool 2010 vintage, a year in which there was also less light than normal, produced wines that will develop nicely in bottle. More recently, the Pieropan family has ventured in Amarone, where the wines continue to show improvement.
