The 2019 Bordeaux wines are the clear highlights in this set of new releases. It’s a much different story with the Sonoma wines. The 2020 Chardonnays are a bit lean and lacking in definition, which is understandable for a year that presented so many challenges in the field. Unfortunately, those very hard conditions are reflected in the wines. Readers should note there will be no Pinots in 2020.
