Owner Salvatore Geraci deserves credit for having almost singlehandedly saved the Faro DOC from extinction. His refined wines have undoubtedly served as an example for many other winemakers who have since begun to make their own Faro wines--a very positive development as this is potentially one of Italy's most exciting DOCs. Geraci's Faro and his Rosso del Soprano are made with the same grape varieties and are by far his best wines; the former wine is made with a selection of the estate's best grapes.
