Pahlmeyer, now led by Jayson Pahlmeyer's daughter, Cleo, has done a fabulous job with these 2013s. Stylistically, the Pahlmeyer wines are quite a bit bigger and riper than the Wayfarer Chardonnays and Pinots. For starters, the fruit is now all Russian River Valley, while winemaker Bibiana Gonzalez-Rave is going for more opulence than what she looks for at Wayfarer. Gonzalez-Rave's wines feature a little more freshness than those of her predecessor, Erin Green, but they remain faithful to the Pahlmeyer house style.
