Natasha Williams worked for Bosman in Wellington, but two months before meeting up in the Cape, she commenced her new job in Hemel-en-Aarde for Hasher Family Wines, previously called Sumaridge until it was sold to Xavier Haspeslagh and Christine Bouckaert. (Readers will find reviews for Hasher Family Wines in this report). Williams told me that she debuted in 2017 or 2018 and that the label is based on her mother’s crocheted doily. The Jade cuvée is more “playful” and her means of trying out new vineyard sites. Do check out the 2022 Lelie van Saron Chardonnay and Jade Red, made from Syrah and Petit Sirah.
