This is a stellar set of wines from Luc and Jodie Morlet. The Morlets continue to grow their estate with new plantings on their home vineyard in St. Helena and a recently planted parcel in the heart of Oakville nestled between Ashe and Stanton. There are plenty of highlights in this range, but the 2013 Chardonnays and 2012 Cabernets are especially of note. As always, Morlet excels with a style that shows the more sumptuous, extroverted side of top vineyard sites in both Napa Valley and Sonoma.
