Marziano Abbona is one of many Piedmontese growers who still flies largely under the radar, and yet year after year the wines are full of character. The Barolos are done with submerged cap fermentation and see aging first in 500-liter barrels and then casks. The 2013s are among the finest Barolos I have tasted from Marziano Abbona.
