Nicolas and Colleen Harbor greeted me at their home in Savigny-lès-Beaune to taste through their 2020s. They are reliant on purchased fruit, so wild swings in availability and prices have been a challenge for the young couple, but judging by the quality of what I tasted here, they certainly have the talent to create some really quite wonderful wines. "We started picking on August 21 and harvested within a week," Nicolas told me. "The alcohol levels are not too crazy. The highest are the Cortons, at around 14.0°." Readers should note that some cuvées have disappeared since last year's report as contracts ended or vineyards were sold, though the Harbors have managed to find replacements such as the Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Vergelesses. These wines come recommended.
