The imposing winery of the Arizu family, a former flour mill located in downtown Lujan de Cuyo, has a capacity to produce 7 million liters of wine, and wines are bottled here under more than two dozen labels.Manager Gustavo Arizu refers to this operation as "the commercial winery of our family" (his mother Alicia Mateu de Arizu owns the boutique operation Vina Alicia and father Alberto is in charge of winemaking at both Luigi Bosca and Vina Alicia), but he is being unnecessarily modest. These are updated versions of traditional Argentine wine, with more concentration and personality than most. There are three main export ranges made here:the fruit-driven Finca La Linda label, the somewhat more concentrated and oakier Luigi Bosca Reserve line, and the winery's top range, which includes the Finca Los Nobles label-Old World-style wines built for aging-and a couple of more modern numbers, Gala 1 and Gala 2.(Testa Wines of the World, Port Washington, NY; Gaucho Imports, San Francisco, CA: Atlas Imports, Waterford, MI; Mariano Graciano Imports, Miami, FL) Also tasted: NV Boheme Brut Nature, 2003 Finca La Linda Tempranillo Mendoza, 2004 Finca La Linda Malbec Mendoza*.
