According to winemaker Caroline Gon, this estate did not get much hail in 2016. “We had a great harvest with a full crop, but not excessive,“ she told me, adding that the average yield was 45 hectoliters per hectare. The estate brought in some fruit on September 15 in their always precocious holding in Mâcon-Uchizy, then started up again on the 18th. After a few more brief stops, they finished harvesting on October 5. Gon noted that she did an extra racking in foudres due to “ignoble reduction” and bottled the wines in July.
