Katy Wilson is one of the most dynamic young winemakers in Sonoma. In addition to her LaRue label, Wilson consults for a number of top-notch wineries. In 2017, Wilson opted to give her Pinots a bit more time in barrel. In tasting, some of the 2017s feel richer than what has been the norm in the past. Whether that is the reflection of the vintage or the aging regime (or both) will become clearer in future vintages. The wines are undoubtedly quite appealing.
