This is another stellar set of new releases from proprietor Robert Kamen and his team headed by vineyard guru Phil Coturri and winemaker Mark Herold. The main wine in this range, in terms of production, is the Cabernet Sauvignon, but once again I found some of the small--lot wines, the Syrah and Viognier in particular, to be compelling. As always, the wines reflect Herold's preference for picking on the later side and an overall approach that seeks textural richness, something these wines all have in spades.
