Craig Jaffurs announced the sale of his winery just as we were putting the finishing touches on this article. New owner Dan Green grew up around wine. That passion eventually lured him away from a career in management consulting. Green spent time at Clos Pepe and working alongside Ed Kurtzman before starting his own label, Conarium. Green has retained the entire staff, while Jaffurs will stay on for a transition period. Craig Jaffurs has always been a class act. I will miss tasting with him and wish him all the best for the future.
