I tasted a wide range of wines at Hartford with proprietor Don Hartford and winemaker Jeff Stewart. The Chardonnays and Pinots, which draw from some of the best sites in Sonoma, are the highlights. Virtually all of the Chardonnays I tasted were barrel samples scheduled to be bottled right after my visit. The Pinots, on the other hand, were all in bottle. As is the custom at Hartford, all the wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
