This is a striking set of wines from proprietor Manuel Gandona. I have been following these wines from the very beginning. This site on Pritchard Hill appears to naturally produce rich, intense wines. What remains to be seen is if a little more finesse can be coaxed from these hillside vineyards. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is seeing a bit less new oak, suggests that is quite achievable. I remain as excited as ever about the potential of these wines, but now, after a few years, its time to see if Gandona can take the next step forward.
