Domenico Clerico is one of the key figures in the history of Barolo over the last 40 years. At their best, his wines offer magnificent textural richness and opulence. The last few vintages have been years of transition, something that is evident to anyone who is familiar with the wines. The 2010s are marked by searing tannin that is at the outer limit of what is typical for young Barolo, along with hues of color that suggest the wines will not be long-lived. Also tasted: 2010 Barolo Pajana, 2010 Barolo Ciabot Mentin, 2010 Barolo Bricotto.
