2021 Chablis Village

Having unintentionally missed one of my favourite producers in Chablis last year due to various reasons, it was great to return to Domaine Tribut down in the village of Poinchy. In 2019, the baton was passed to Laurent Tribut’s daughter Solange who guided me through their wines. The “old man” dropped in at the end, so I couldn’t resist taking a picture of them together. “We pruned hard in 2021 just like my father,” she explained. “It was complicated with the diseases in the vineyard. In the end, we cropped by hand at around 29hL/ha with around 12.5% alcohol. We usually bottle in September, but at the moment I am not sure. We always use natural cork.”
