“There’s a big range of style between frosted and not-frosted vines, the bottoms and tops of our vineyards, and the first and second generation grapes,” said Marc Bachelet, adding that gentle pressing helped him “avoid getting a strong influence from the small, less-ripe berries." Alcohol levels are a touch lower in 2016 than in 2017, but acidity levels and pHs are similar in the two vintages, he added.
