Once again, I was struck by the wines I tasted with Massimo di Costanzo. The 2015 and 2016 Cabernets from Farella, in Coombsville, are both impressive, while a new wine from a site in Oakville shows considerable potential. I also tasted a handful of 2017s that make me hopeful at least some wines from this vintage will survive. Massimo Di Costanzo remains one of Napa Valley's most promising young producers.

Massimo Di Costanzo is one the most promising young winemakers in Napa Valley today. Production is tiny and limited to just one wine, a Cabernet from the Farella Vineyard in Coombsville. With the 2016 vintage, Di Costanzo has added a Cabernet from the Rafael Vineyard in Oak Knoll. A tank sample I tasted of that wine suggests Di Costanzo will soon have two top-tier wines in his lineup.
