Once again, I was deeply impressed with Desire Lines. Cody and Emily Rasmussen source fruit from some of the most distinctive sites in northern California for their range. The wines capture the essence of place in a translucent, unadorned style I find hugely appealing. There is a sense of purity in these wines that is so attractive. The reds are especially fine. I find the whites a bit less expressive, perhaps because the 2024s are still very young. The Rieslings all have a touch of residual sugar, but that appears to be a bit lower than in the recent past. More importantly, though, the wines are all delicious and priced very fairly.
