Winemaker Nile Zacherle has done a fabulous job with the 2014s at David Arthur. The wines showed just as well, or better, than they did last year. The 2015s, which I tasted from barrel, are highly promising. Those wines are the result of the lowest yields at the estate in a decade.

The Cabernets are the highlights in this set of wines from David Arthur and winemaker Nile Zacherle. The red blends are still works in progress. Specifically, the blends for the Meritaggio and Le Boucher vary considerably from year to year, which makes establishing benchmarks for the wines' personalities basically impossible. In other words, it is hard to get a sense of the true style of those wines, because there is no consistency across vintages.
