Proprietor Kevin Law has been through quite a bit in recent years, including being forced to rename his winery two times because of possible conflicts with other much larger brands. So, Cotiere is the same label that was Luminesce, which in turn was the former Luceant. As for the wines, they are gorgeous. At the end of the day, that is what counts. The wines are made with a very delicate hand. The Pinots see some stem inclusion and are aged mostly in neutral oak, while the Chardonnays are all fermented in barrel.
