Fans of well-structured, age-worthy Pinot Noir are well-advised to check this producer out as these are wines that truly reward patience. In fact, without a bit of decanting the wines can be a tough read, even in a relatively charming vintage like 2017. I always find that interesting because the tannin levels don’t usually come off as excessive. The ‘16s will undoubtedly reward those who wait and I suspect that the same hold true for the ‘17s. These are densely packed, finely detailed, estate-grown Pinots that clearly show the signature earthiness and structure of their McMinnville origins.
