Clarice is a relatively new project from Adam Lee, one of the pioneers in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Lee makes these wines in a much more vibrant style than the wines that first brought him acclaim at Siduri. There is translucence to these wines that I find beguiling. Moreover, the wines capture the essence of site, something I believe is critical for single vineyard bottlings. There’s always a touch of stem influence, but it works so well here.
