This micro-project, from Siduri's Adam Lee, made its debut with the 2017 vintage. I'm pleased to see that those wines, which I tasted in their unfinished form last year, have more than lived up to their promising showing. The 2018s look at least as impressive and, if anything are more aromatically complex and heftier than their 2017 siblings at a similar stage of development. Readers accustomed to the Siduri style will find themselves in familiar territory especially for the grapes are sourced from the famed Rosella’s and Garys’ vineyards.

This is a highly promising brand-new small-scale project of Dianna and Adam Lee (Siduri) that’s offering its wines on a strictly subscription basis and the quality of the first vintage 2017 looks highly promising indeed. The Lees are old hands when it comes to working with Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir and they have access to some of the region’s best vineyards. These first three releases were sourced from the Garys’ and Rosella’s vineyards which have proven to be two of the best sites for the variety not just in the region but in the New World.
