This project, a partnership of American importer Peter Weygandt and the Grangeon family of Domaine de Cristia, is producing some of the most graceful Châteauneufs out there. Made from old-vines Grenache grown on the sandy soils of the appellation’s northern sector and raised in large neutral oak casks, the wines are emphatically perfumed, offering vibrant red fruit and floral character and enlivening spiciness. They're balanced to age but their extroverted personalities and silky tannin profiles make them pretty irresistible soon after release.
