2016 Bettina

Bryant's 2016s are absolutely breathtaking. The estate certainly made the most out of their 25th Anniversary vintage. The estate Cabernet is especially thrilling, but all of the 2016s are well worth considering. The entry-level DB 4 remains one of the best relative values in Napa Valley, for readers who can find it. KK Carrothers, who was the Assistant Winemaker here before leaving for Adamvs, recently returned to the estate to take over the Winemaker position following Marc Gagnon's departure. Proprietor Bettina Bryant brings a level of focus and sheer determination that wasn't always present here. I have long believed (and written) that the Bryant Cabernet should be one of the very top wines in Napa Valley. It was in 2014, and is again in 2016.
