This is a gorgeous set of new releases from Fred Brander. The 2015 whites show just how compelling a vintage this is. Although I am generally not a fan of wineries making many small-lot bottlings, there is no denying these white are all distinctive. The Cabernets are also solid and will give readers who are not familiar with Los Olivos a good idea of the style of the area. On that subject, Brander was the driving force behind the newly approved Los Olivos District AVA. Best of all, for most of these wines, pricing remains exceedingly fair. Also tasted: 2015 Merlot.
