Birgit Eichinger noted that “2023 was generally a good year for us,” with the caveat that her vines in the Gaisberg and Heiligenstein were strafed by the hail on 13 September. This meant careful selection was necessary, leading to a yield loss between 5 and 10%. The top single-site wines will be tasted next year. The Roter Veltliner Ried Rosengartl was not made in 2023 – and the site frosted completely in spring 2024. The 2023 harvest started on 20 September and concluded on 25 October.
