Guillaume and Arnaud Fabre have added two new wines to their slowly growing lineup, a Graciano-focused bottling called Lapsus and one that includes, for the first time, Carignan, in a blend named HOC. In keeping with the house style, both wines (and the whole 2018 collection) deliver a deft blend of richness and energy, with lots of upfront fruit expression. There’s always a fair amount of new oak in play here, but I have never found it extreme, especially since the wines possess serious depth and are built to age for the long haul.
