Webster Marquez, David Low and Anthony Filiberti started this small, cool-climate-focused project with the 2004 vintage. Their goal is to produce "wines that are as pure an expression of where they are grown as possible," in the words of Low. To that end new oak is kept to a minimum and the wines are handled as little and as gently as possible.The three partners are quick to point out that there are no job titles: they all do "anything and everything, sometimes at the same time." Still, Filiberti spends the most time in the vines, Low the most time with the wines, and Webster gets to do most of the fun administrative tasks.
