Thomas Houseman, the winemaker here since 2007, is responsible for steadily moving their wines toward a balanced, elegant style, with the structure to age. The mostly warm weather conditions and vintages in the Willamette Valley that started with 2008 have conspired against delicacy and in favor of richness and weight but, as the 2015s show, maintaining an elegant style is possible. Note that the single-vineyard Pinot Noir 2016 bottlings have yet to be released and will follow on the heels of the entry-level 2017s, which are pretty delicious, by the way.
