The lineup at Alma Fria is a bit different from what readers have seen in the past. Proprietor Carroll Kemp skipped Chardonnay in 2022. Instead, the range includes two new sparkling wines and a new Cabernet Sauvignon, all of which are noteworthy. But the star is the new Pinot Noir from Richardson Ranch, from a site in Annapolis that is showing great promise. It’s the finest wine I have tasted from Alma Fria yet.
