The team at Rhys does such a terrific job with Alesia, their second label. Every time I stop by the winery proprietor Kevin Harvey swears he is done with these wines made from purchased fruit, but every now and then the temptation proves to be too great. The Alesia wines are very pretty and also suitable for near-term drinking, something that is seldom the case with Rhys. Readers should note that there will be no Alesia wines in the 2014 or 2015 vintages.
