Owner/winemaker Eric Eide's wines display an intriguing interplay of power and finesse, with a less-than-subtle nod to Burgundy. That can at least partly be explained by the fact that he worked for a number of years for importer Bobby Kacher, whose portfolio has long had a serious Burgundy presence. His wines are made with a light hand (without chaptalization and usually without fining or filtration) and offer plenty of upfront, fruity appeal, but they also have the concentration and balance to age. For their quality they deliver solid--in fact, often outstanding--value as well.
