These are some of the very best wines I have ever tasted from Paul Lato. The 2017 Pinots are especially impressive within the context of the year, the exception to that being the Atticus. Lato gave the 2017 Pinots shorter cold soaks and less time on the skins than normal, an approach that worked beautifully. The two new 2016 Syrah-based wines, Letters to Europe and Space Cadet are among the most compelling wines I have tasted here.
