Delas Frères

This northern-Rhône-specialist and -based grower/négociant has been on an impressive, high-quality tear for the last couple of decades under the watch of winemakers Claire Darnaud and Jacques Grange. Their single bottling of Vacqueyras, Domaine de Genêts, is a partnership with the domaine, which owns 26 hectares of vines that straddle the towns of Vacqueyras and Sarrians. All of the vineyard work and winemaking is conducted by the Delas team. An average of 2,500 cases of wine is bottled per year, making them a significant player in the region. Readers familiar with Delas’ polished style will see it here, in spades. Pricing is especially sharp as well.
