2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Tributo

Founded in the late 1990s by Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick in Huique, Colchagua, Viña Caliterra has been owned solely by Chadwick since the mid-2000s. Viña Caliterra consists of 1,800 hectares, of which 244 are under vine on the slopes and plains of the valley, mostly planted with red varieties. In 2023, Alberto Eckholt was appointed Head of Winemaking, and Carlos Oyarzún was named Production Director. They bottle a more austere style than the richer one mostly found in Colchagua, with the Carménère and Malbec in the Petreo and Tributo lines particularly worthy of mention. A winery with a commercial heart and a touch of terroir, that is introducing a new technical team this season.
