I was absolutely blown away by the wines I tasted this year from Tor Kenward and winemaker Jeff Ames. If I had to name the winery that has improved the most over the last decade, it would surely be Tor. Ten years ago, the wines were good, but rarely truly exciting. Since then, Kenward has dramatically upped his game. Fruit sources are now much higher in quality and winemaking is state of the art. The results are obvious. Wine after wine, I was so impressed with what I tasted, especially the 2018 and 2019s Cabernet-based wines.
