There’s a lot to like in the 2020s from The Hilt. Certainly the increased focus on estate, vineyard-designate bottlings is a plus. The team led by Matt Dees and Drew Pickering handles the rigors of 2020 quite well, as readers will see in perusing these notes. In the past, I have found some of these wines a bit too austere, but it is not an issue in 2020.
