Tesseron Cognac is old and new. The Tesseron family, who also own Pontet-Canet in Pauillac, have been making Cognac since 1905. For nearly 100 years, the Tesserons were negociants and supplied many of the region’s more established larger houses with Cognacs in barrel from their extensive library of older vintages. The Tesserons decided to launch their own brand only in 2003 with a range of Cognacs focused on X.O. There are presently 40 hectares under vine, 25 in Grand Champagne and 15 in Petite Champagne.
