These two Cabernets from Scarecrow and winemaker Celia Welch are simply exceptional. Welch squeezed every bit of potential out of the vintage in crafting these two truly memorable wines from the historic J.J. Cohn Estate, one of the most pedigreed vineyard sites in all of Napa Valley. Proprietor Bret Lopez is a bit of a recluse, but he has succeeded in keeping together his all star team (which includes vineyard manager Mike Wolf) for what is a long period of time by Napa Valley standards. That consistency comes through loud and clear.
