This is a mixed set of wines from Rajat Parr and Sashi Moorman at Sandhi. In my opinion, the 2013 Chardonnays are lacking in depth. That may be the result of a large crop, the desire to pick early, or both. Still, it will be quite obvious to readers who taste the wines that Chardonnays this year are light, even within the context of the Sandhi style. Buying fruit from other growers often has its limitations, the 2013 vintage makes abundantly obvious. Readers will note that two wines that are missing; the Rita's Crown Chardonnay all went into the Sta. Rita Hills appellation wine, while the Wentzlau Pinot was used for a new sparkling wine project.
