This is another superb showing from Radio-Coteau. Eric Sussman and Davida Ebner are quite reserved, but they don't have to say much; the wines say it all. The 2013 Chardonnays capture the essence of the year. Just as impressive, the 2013 Pinots and Syrahs show tons of potential. I tasted most of these wines from barrel, where the wines will remain until they are prepared for bottling. Everything at Radio-Coteau is pretty much done by hand, starting with meticulous farming. Manual punch downs, native fermentations and no racking are all the norm here. The wines are bottled with no fining or filtration. Transparency to site is one of the many attributes that elevates Radio-Coteau to the very highest level of quality. Readers will not want to miss these superb upcoming releases.
