Philipp Kuhn declares that “2023 was a vintage that suited me. Those who did all the homework and were prepared to risk a little were rewarded. It was not easy, but this is why we are here. We went for risk, we waited and harvested later, the weather rewarded us, we could harvest what we needed–and single, rotten berries were cut out.” He says it was the “longest” harvest ever, starting on 4 September and ending on 20 October. His 2023 Rieslings are all made with a light touch and are scented. His 2022 Pinot Noirs are pictures of elegance. Pinot lovers should prick up their ears. These wines have density and power but are formed with sheer elegance.
