Dan Morgan Lee set up his winery in 1982. The project now encompasses some 560 acres in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands. These are now widely available wines, and their level of quality if consistently high. That’s especially true for the single-site bottlings of Pinot Noir and Syrah, which in many vintages can be counted amongst the very best from the region. The 2019s here are mostly well-delineated and expressive, with the balance and concentration necessary to reward patience.
