Owned by Pierre Lurton, who brilliantly manages both Cheval Blanc and Yquem, Marjosse offers competently made red and white wines that benefit from an average vine age of 40 years. The result is wines that are far better than the simple Bordeaux appellation might lead one to believe. The estate will offer a delicious cabernet franc-based rose this year for the first time, but the star of the line-up is the red wine.
