According to Jean-Charles Cazes, the biggest problem with 2014 is once again paltry production. Cazes estimates that he has lost a full year's yield over the course of the last three vintages. In 2014, the issue was a blast of late heat in September that concentrated the grapes and also took with it some of the potential yield. The 2014s at Lynch-Bages are indeed quite rich and deeply constituted.
