Lisini's 2009 Brunellos are the highlights in this set of new releases. Two thousand nine was a challenging year in Montalcino, yet Lisini's 2009 Ugolaia and Riserva both come through with flying colors. The Lisini Brunellos are distinguished by their size and volume, most of which can be attributed to the estate's location on the southern side of Montalcino, where the hot, arid conditions, with distinct influences from Maremma, shape the wines to a considerable degree.
