Le Potazzine’s Rosso has an uncanny ability to age gracefully. For Le Potazzine, it’s one vineyard, one harvest and then a selection of which barrel or barrels will best serve the Rosso di Montalcino. The Rosso, in its youth, is often lifted and vibrant with sweet tannins that frame the experience. It is a wine with no need to age. In fact, I’m sure most readers drink it long before its second birthday. That said, I advise losing a case in the cellar and coming back to it in eight to ten years.
